I worked for Jaguar Land Rover for 7 years. It almost never came up. I would say that most of the company operates independently. Occasionally we would engage with Tata's other arms (I recall early on doing work with TCS - Tata Consulting Services to do some software development.) Sometimes as I'm out and about I'll see old Ford-era Jaguars and I'm pleased that the company has independence to make its own vehicles.
