Most chilling for me was the majority who would divert the trolly away from a good citizen to kill a citizen who litters.

- ShortStretto 4y agoDon't think I got that far but the thoguht process is not hard to follow. One person is gonna die either way so it might as well be the "better" option.
- Markoff 4y agoExcept it's not up to you to decide which of these two will die, both lives are equal and you must perform action to kill the littering guy, if you do nothing someone will die anyway, it just won't be the littering guy.
- Hamuko 4y ago>Except it's not up to you to decide which of these two will die I'm standing next to the track switcher, so I'd argue that it is.
- McBeige 4y agoHeck yeah it's my decision! I don't want to live in a world where decisions are made like this, but in this case we must accept our role as the lever puller. Or walk away I guess, but that's no different from actively condemning the litterless person.
- Tepix 4y agoWhat if the problem is rephrased and inaction would mean death for both?
- Markoff 4y agoif inaction has same result as action then it's better to stay away from any responsibility caused by action
- moffkalast 4y agoI think the takeaway lesson from this is don't litter or the public at large will literally kill you :D
