Minnesota legalizes cannabis edibles, catching some Republicans off guard
- openthc 4y agoIt's poorly written legislation (surprise!) and seems to be dancing around the different types of cannabinoids (d9-THC, d8-THC, d10-THC, etc). While the bill is trying to move forward on the guise of consumer protection this poorly construction legislation won't actually do that. It's really time to start treating this product and the various cannabinoids (natural and synthetic) like we treat alcohol & tobacco.
- tomatotomato37 4y agoGiven that most of the health risks around cannabis (and tobacco I guess) involves the whole "inhaling burning debris" part of it, I'm starting to think the focus on the drug itself over drug delivery has been a major detriment to the whole issue. Ignoring the substance and instead shifting anything that isn't horribly addictive (though cocaine was once in Coca-Cola...) to your much more robust digestive system over abusing your lungs or mucous membranes seems like it would solve many of today's drug problems
- Georgelemental 4y agoThere's lots of evidence that THC on its own can cause serious mental health problems (other than addiction). So no, in this case we should not "ignore the substance"
- asdfqwertzxcv 4y agoYes... To people who already have or are susceptible to mental health issues. Alcohol or any other intoxicants, including prescription drugs could be just as dangerous for these types of people.
- moistly 4y agoLess that THC causes mental health problems, and more that existing mental health problems are exacerbated by THC.

- cyanydeez 4y agoThe delivery is what's key to the racist nature of enforcement since the 60s
