I REALLY want to remove some of this junk Samsung forced on my phone (while omitting screen record on this model.)
- anonymousab 4y agoI suspect the compliance will be as minimal as possible, e.g. uninstalling included junk will only flip some settings bit that hides some of the user facing activity. Just enough to make a glib "look, we obeyed the law" statement as they will assume nobody will actually take them to court over it. Perhaps I am too pessimistic.
- gjsman-1000 4y agoThat's actually about how it is going to work. Apps on both iOS and Android are in the read-only system partition. Even when you disable an app on Android, the read-only system partition version remains and the latest version installed in the rewritable user folder gets deleted. It is absolutely just going to be a visual switch.
