Lego embraces modularity, metaverse with its software engineering culture
- ComputerCat 4y agoEverything is awesome Everything is cool when you're part of a team Everything is awesome When you're living out a dream This will be stuck in my head all day now...
- Traubenfuchs 4y agoThis is nothing but a meaningless amalgamation of buzzwords. And what‘s that about the metaverse? Will they offer some kind of Lego VR experience in an existing application like VRChat or Horizon Worlds? Will they offer their own Lego focused online multiplayer sandbox application/game? Will they sell Lego stuff as NFT? Am I going crazy, or does nothing here make any sense?

IMO it took them a while, but now they are expanding so rapidly that I expect a reverse issue to arise in the next couple of years -- LEGO fatique from having gone too broad and causing a massive after-market of limited edition scalpers, followed by floods of new choice overloads.
