You should be aware that Dutch politics is in a deep crisis right now, the governing parties have antagonized large parts of the population and stand to become a small minority if there are elections anywhere soon. And more crises are on the way. Next year there will be indirect elections for the first chamber which has to approve all laws, if the polls are anywhere near correct they can forget getting anything approved and it becomes more and more likely the government will have to give up. It’s not surprising they quickly try to push through some busybody bullshit like this, i expect to see more of this.
