Yes! I'm so sick of this trend. Why does everything need to be subscription based nowadays?
- rusk 4y agoBecause it reflects the costs involved in keeping an app up to date on an ongoing basis
- hansword 4y agoRight, right, because these subscription apps never close down and leave all their customers with nothing...
- tsol 4y agoThis implies that I want to pay for an app to stay up to date. I do not. Obviously this would be more expensive, which is why I would only do that when I'm confident that I'll continue to use it. Unfortunately there usually isn't any option
- throwaway290 4y agoI don't expect to pay for minor bugfixes. If there's a major change, get a new app out and give a discount to previous version owners if you feel like.
