Why is the guy an idiot?

  I don't know if the guy is an idiot or not but I personally wouldn't have handed the wheel over to an AI right next to a school bus in order to find out if it was going to run the kids over.

    Seems like he had it under control, and was recording it in order to publicize the problem and possibly get it fixed.

      Yeah, maybe, that’s why I said I wasn’t sure if he was an idiot. He sounded a little surprised to me. But I still wouldn’t have personally done it.

      If it was one of your kids getting off that school bus does that change your perception of the situation?

        It wouldn't change my perception of the situation - clearly the driver was in control the whole time and being highly observant of surroundings.

  Tesla claims FSD is in beta. Subjecting unwilling children into this beta testing seems at the very least reckless, if not other less savoury words.

    I'd like to know why other adults who did not sign up to part of a distributed beta test are overlooked in your calculus. Or has the tech industry beaten any semblance of self-respect out of everyone to the point it is just expected the technocrats get to use everyone as guinea pigs?
