From my professional experience js has become more stable and has slowed down in the past few years. The last big thing happened to js was a typescript. React from major version to version is less and less disruptive (in a good way) etc. Yes there are still new fancy projects popping up like mushrooms. But only few survive in the long run (as in other languages).
