Now when I think about it, I wonder what's taken then the other major VCs so long.
- ayewo 4y agoI believe Sequoia has been running this as a closed program in some form [1], before finally deciding to make it open. The other factor if I were to take a guess is tooling to keep up with the needs peculiar to early stage companies. - babyshake 4y agoSo by "Sequoia will invest $1M in the form of equity to participating companies at the start of the program." Does this mean companies will receive an investment of $1M in cash? Not sure why it would say "in the form of equity" for a standard convertible note type investment.
- gumby 4y agoBy saying “equity” it sounds like a priced purchase rather than a note. It wasn’t. So long ago that an a round could be a million.
