This is cool. It reminded me a little of some work by the German sound artist/musician Carsten Nicolai (aka Alva Noto), where he plays sine waves through vats of liquid to reveal patterns: https://www.carstennicolai.de/?c=works&w=milch https://www.carstennicolai.de/?c=works&w=milch, https://www.carstennicolai.de/?c=works&w=wellenwanne https://www.carstennicolai.de/?c=works&w=wellenwanne
His other work is worth browsing if you like this kind of thing. I always loved the idea of this installation where white noise and it’s inverse were played from two speakers facing each other, so in theory in the centre they cancelled each other out. No idea how well it worked in reality! https://www.carstennicolai.de/?c=works&w=invertone https://www.carstennicolai.de/?c=works&w=invertone
