Dating is game theory, both people try to get someone better than themselves. Naturally it's impossible to find equilibrium. Unfortunately Satoshi Nakamoto did not find a solution to this problem
- proc0 4y agoReligion found a solution to this, although it's not a solution that many people like. Unfortunately religion is thought to be a collection of beliefs, but in practice it's largely about regulating sexual desires which lead to a healthy relationship and then a family. I'm not saying it's the only solution or even desirable, but that there doesn't seem to be a secular alternative.
- actfrench 4y agoI actually would really love to “solve this problem” for women like me. Maybe I’m being overly ambitious if Satoshi couldn’t do it. It’s actually oddly encouraging to think what I’m trying to do is hare Ave elusive, rather than a personal failure. It inspires me:)
