- mdp2021 4y agoYes, clearly, but if you call something a "desalination plant", you state that the chief thing it does is to remove salt. Instead, the chief thing these devices do is to collect water - and that would be valid even extending the system /before/ the device input. Sure, then the whole system is a "collector of desalinized water" - which is different. The term 'plant' is valid for the artifact device only (the desalination occurs outside the plant) - you do not plant the sun.
