You can only issue a DCMA request on behalf of the copyright holder. There is no takedown for butthurt.
- yieldcrv 4y agoSometimes the controversy involves resyndication of copyrighted material People don’t really care that much about their Streisand hopes to argue fair use or bother But the presence of material makes it a legitimate DMCA request (not like legitimacy is enforced, but I cover my own bases at least)
- plorkyeran 4y agoIn practice you can issue DCMA requests for any reason and there are zero consequences for lying.
