$399 sounds excessive. How much are people paying nowadays in practice? I still have my 15 years year old legacy rate, just a bit over $100. Mutually a good deal I'd say. I use it very little, sometimes I completely forget about it for many months, so a good deal for them. But when I need to access some new topic that seem to have no good hits on the free (as in beer) internet I can acess Safari quickly. In the past there was a limit about how many books I can access at my rate. Seems that it's no longer there? Anyway, I have never really hit it, just needed to be cautious not to browse in too many books at once.
