Nissan/Nisan has apparently been the first month of spring in the Hebrew calendar for millennia. And it was borrowed from the Babylonians/Akkadians/Sumerians so I assume it's considerably older in origin. Does one guy whose name it happens to be really own it more than Nissan Motor Company? I wonder if Mazda has faced any objections from Zoroastrians.
