Dutch farmers spray manure on town hall in protest of climate plans
- morninglight 4y ago> ...several large food producers implemented massive price increases on food. > For example the price of Pepsi Max went up by over 30%. LMAO - Since when is Pepsi Max considered food?
- eesmith 4y agoIn some countries? 1993. In the US? 2001, once the Food and Drug Agency allowed acesulfame potassium in nonalcoholic beverages.

- sebazzz 4y agoWe export 70% of what our farmers produce. The question ultimately is whether the damage in nature (because this is about nitrogenoxides mostly - which by EU law should be reduced be because it damages the nature) is worth it in the tiny country if we export 70%. That these rules are very sudden is because of years of delays and mismanagement from the political parties these farmers voted on. However, there is now no way out.
- toomuchtodo 4y agoCan the government buy out the farms and let them go fallow? Retire the farmers out of their export industry.
- sebazzz 4y agoThat is one of the proposed things.

- 28304283409234 4y agoThis tiny country is the sixth(!) largest exporter of food in the world. We export more than Japan, Canada, and Italy. It has always been deemed that this is worth the damage. No question. Edit: second(!!) largest, according to https://humboldt.global/top-agricultural-exporters/ https://humboldt.global/top-agricultural-exporters/
- rambojazz 4y agoI suppose the farmers have good reasons, but this article just reads like propaganda.
