Can confirm. Anecdotal. Both my parents' eyesight have actually improved significantly recently. They don't really need glasses anymore. But I can also confirm that my sister who had severe long-sightedness got her eyesight corrected with lasik. That was about 15 years ago, and there are no problems so far.
