I thought this article would be about a different topic, mainly how there’s a lot of people these days who feel infinite optimism must inevitably yield a positive result, and any hesitation means you will ultimately fail. People try to “manifest” the perfect life, or hope that a government will eventually ease their debts or burdens, or that inevitably crypto or other such Ponzi schemes must make them rich if they just hold long enough, or that faking success is necessary to attract real success. For these people, I wish there was a clear way to get the message through: No one is coming. The universe, the government, crypto, massive sudden wealth; none of it is coming to save you and none of it even cares about you. You’re on your own here. Get your shit together.
