Requisite: what is this and why should I care? From the Github page:
Simple, fast, safe, compiled language for developing maintainable software. Compiles itself in <1s with zero library dependencies. https://vlang.io https://vlang.io
I first learned about it from https://simonknott.de/articles/vlang https://simonknott.de/articles/vlang (2019), which was an interesting introduction, if a touch dated now
- amedvednikov 4y agoIt can be thought of as Go but with faster and easier C interop, and better optimization brought by Clang/GCC's -O2. But also with nice additions like sum types, enums, string interpolation, if expressions etc. Full comparison here: https://vlang.io/compare#go https://vlang.io/compare#go
