Somehow most people in the western world can't remember that all the biggest mass murders and other crimes against humanity were all done by the state. It's so important to keep fighting to limit the power of the government. If you're in the US: what today will be used to track vaccination status, tomorrow will be used to track abortions. Or the other way around. Doesn't matter what are your political views - the government is not your friend. It's a necessary evil at best, and like any organization - you can't trust it, because it's not an individual. Today it is doing what you like, but tomorrow it might turn against you. Digital IDs will be sold as a convenience and such, but before you know it they will be used as a tool of oppression.
