Show HN: Eldood helps you coordinate dates for social events
- jstanley 4y agoMy friends and I used to use https://doodle.com/ https://doodle.com/ to decide what date to do something on. It used to be simple: one person would create a Doodle poll with a list of proposed dates, and everyone else ticks the dates they can make. Doodle (like so many things) has got steadily worse over time, and now requires an email address for every person who wants to respond to the poll, and the UI only lets you see 7 week days at a time, even if only one of those week days is a proposed date! So if you only want to do Thursdays, you only get to see 1 date per time you scroll the view. Eldood only shows the proposed dates, shows them all at once, and doesn't require an email address from anyone. It is what I wish Doodle still was. It currently has no authentication, so any participant can delete any other participant's answers, but I don't think this is a problem as it is intended for use within groups that already trust each other. (I haven't got very far, I only started working on it today, but it is already good enough to show. It is on github: https://github.com/jes/eldood https://github.com/jes/eldood )
