Dido. I view this in analogy to the early scholars explaining planetary dynamics from earth centrist view. It is possible to solve the differential equations in that frame of reference, however, it is rather difficult, and the results are non-intuitive when trying to build a theory of heavenly motions in that frame. Changing reference frame to Sun-centric, it seems to be easier in modeling and explanation. (But physics tells us that it is non-unique view, we just adopt it since it is most convenient and intuitive for things we need from the theory). I take similar stance to the Quantum physics... while successful as a model, it certainly says nothing about uniqueness of that model (hence its interpretation on the philosophical plane bears little significance to the ordinary life).
