The sk-1 was my first "real" musical instrument, and what I remember the most is that I was thrilled at the sampler. I must have been 7 or 8 years old and it was amazing to be able to record any sound and then play music with it. Shortly after giving this to me my parents sent me to a music teacher, a lovely old lady who had a house full of different instruments (a dream for any musically inclined kid, during breaks we all obviously wanted to exchange instruments for a bit), and one thing I remember is she kept telling me how this little thing had the best synthetic piano sound she had heard so far.
