No coincidence that there were religious riots when Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat and there are religious tensions now that Modi is the leader of the far right BJP government.

  You understand that two Muslims planned and filmed a beheading of a Hindu man and then uploaded it to social media and proudly claimed responsibility and the majority of the Muslim community supported the action in India and overseas and you blame Modi? What have we come to that a woman quoting the Hadeeth causes riots and then a man who said she supported the woman who quoted the Hadeeth is beheaded and you blame the Prime Minister of India. Do you understand that millions of people have viewed a beheading video of a man who basically liked the comments of a debater on a national news show. The PM of India did not write the Quran or the Hadeeth that making any discussion of the acts of the prophet punishable by beheading. The sheer hypocrisy, blame the victim and simultaneous donning of the mantle of victimhood is incredible.

    Can you point to anywhere in my comment where I’ve justified the murder? Do you understand the harm Modi and his supporters have done to India? Before Modi came to power India was a country where different religions lived in relative peace. His government’s continued crackdown on free speech and the media is a disgrace.

      So an ISIS like beheading of a man for expressing his support of freedom of speech is to be blamed on Modi. This is Islamic apologia pure and simple. For weeks Islamists mobs have marched in India baying for blood saying anyone insulting the prophet will be beheaded. How is Islamic intolerance and Sharia blasphemy laws formulated supposedly 1000 years ago Modi's doing? When India banned the satanic verses after it was published, rioting after the ban by Islamist mobs led to dozens of deaths. [1]. In India, Islamists always believe rioting and murder is their birthright whenever they feel aggrieved. You are even factually wrong and read too much western propaganda. India has a federal structure. Most of the prosecutions of journalists have been by State governments who are not aligned with the Modi's govt. The federal govt actually has no policing ability and all ability to file police cases and arrests have to be done by State govts. Recently a state govt which is opposed tooth and nail to Modi, imprisoned a journalist for a facebook like and she was in prison for 30 days. No liberal outrage.
