In the beginning a lot of people were concerned about GDPR, because it could open any US business with a website up to liability. FAANG has lawyers to deal with this, but a small business or startup does not. But, I think those fears have calmed down.
- jimmydorry 4y agoIt's just yet another step towards a two-tiered society. Those laws are in place and will be selectively enforced as the burden is too high for government departments to proactively monitor / investigate. The small companies least equipped to fight a lawsuit / investigation / fine are more vulnerable than the large companies that have their own lawyers.
