if BAYC is a killer app then web3 is doomed. Using NFTs to enforce digital scarcity and 'ownership' of content can be cool. but the idea of a exclusive social club where you can only get into by buying a million dollar avatar is a little ridiculous. IF they actually had good content in the group that would make sense but it seems to be mostly an MMO the pictures dont even have any taste and the whole thing feels overly commercial and reeks of group-think.
