Me too! The lack of maildir was one of three reasons I moved to Evolution. Boring backup tools would generate a huge incremental any time I used Thunderbird. The second is that it didn’t deal well with accounts where I might’ve had 50-100k messages in the inbox. Lots of intermittent freezing during interaction. Finally, I used it for a decade but it never seemed to be without memory leaks. I wasn’t using any extensions, it just leaked. Had to restart it every day. Evolution doesn’t have any of these issues. Would love to come back to it, though!
