Is that an official YC domain owned by YC? Checked the Whois and it looks like it is, but I could be wrong
- lp0_on_fire 4y agoAccording to the site it's not official. This project is an enhanced reader for Ycombinator Hacker News: https://news.ycombinator.com/ https://news.ycombinator.com/. The interface also allow to comment, post and interact with the original HN platform. - lofatdairy 4y agoParent was talking about hacker.news not hacker-news.news (hacker.news being a redirect domain to this site)
- night-rider 4y agoI was referring to hacker.news Is that an official YC owned domain?
- lofatdairy 4y agoI also checked and it appears to be the case. However, weirdly enough the original ycombinator.com domain is registered through Gandi, and the addresses given for Y Combinator are just Gandi's address. If they did register hacker.news, they did it also through Gandi but this time they seemed to actually put their address in CA.
