There've been a lot of additional great questions proposed in these comments! The one I like to ask the most has 2-parts: 1. "Why is this position open?" and if the answer is anything other than "we're doubling the size of our company", I like to follow up with: 2. "Tell me about the last person who had this role." The way #2 gets answered can usually tell me a lot about the culture.
