  I feel like the xbox Games Pass is such a great value for Microsoft, that doubling the price for PS pass premium tier is Sony shooting themself in the foot. Can't find a PS5, and when you do you have to spend more for a lesser online library of games. Only winners are PC gamers, so I'm happy.

  I like to play games. But I've never been tempted to buy one of these subscription. When I have a new AAA game, it'll take me, maybe, three of four months to complete it. Then I sell the disc second hand and buy a new one. The fear is that soon enough, you'll be required to have a subscription even for normal play. That can't be far off. Why give out all of this free playstation use, when you could charge for it?

  You will own nothing (no games, no apps, no movies, etc all gated under a subscription) and be happy.
