A few of the Goodwills in San Francisco are full of company swag and it's kind of bizarre. Like hey, I could buy this Uber-branded Patagonia jacket having never worked there. Also weird in a way to subject less fortunate folks to wear company branded clothing, but I guess they don't have to buy it. On the other hand, it's also common (and somewhat strange) to see homeless in SF wearing company branded clothing that was donated.
