Upgrading from Google Hangouts to Google Chat
- dmitrygr 4y agoThey’ve been saying “hangouts is going away soon” for a few years now. If it does, you better believe I won’t use whatever you push to replace it.
- barelysapient 4y agoSo with you. I'm just exhausted with Google. Seriously. Yet another, "Upgrading from Duck Fuck to Fuck Duck". Enough. Just fucking stop it already.
- dietr1ch 4y agoAnd is it really better? The time when chat apps where interoperable was great, although apparently the underlying protocol had many issues. - emptysongglass 4y agoThey're merging Duo and Meet: https://cloud.google.com/blog/products/workspace/bringing-the-power-of-google-meet-to-google-duo-users https://cloud.google.com/blog/products/workspace/bringing-th...
- joeframbach 4y agoAre we really doing this again? It's just going to go away again in another two years. Why bother, use another messaging service.
