This is so very click-baity. Most any active volcano can erupt at most any time, and I fear any article or journalist who tries to bring certainty to the level of single years. Most responsible articles will frame the discussion in terms of "based on historical eruptions, this volcano could erupt in the next 100 years". I bring this up because of the fact that we are inundated with dire warnings of catastrophe all the time. At some point people just sort of.. tune it out. I would say, and admit that I did this myself, that the panic over H1N1, SARS, MERS, MonkeyPox Part 1 etc. made everyone just sort of shrug at the early warnings of SARS-CoV-2. Lets all agree to only cry wolf when we see an actual wolf.
