Dobbs goes a long way to restoring the legitimacy of the Court. The legitimacy of the Court suffered grievously with Roe where the justices pulled the right to abortion out of thin air. This has been acknowledged by countless constitutional scholars no matter their political slant. All Dobbs does is return the legislative function back to the state legislatures where it belongs. Nine unelected lawyers should not be writing legislation. The Court's legitimacy is and has been threatened by viewing the constitution as a blank slate on which justices can read whatever they want into it. Dobbs returns the question of abortion to the states where it belongs. Alternatively if one thinks abortion should be a constitutional right than amend the Constitution and add it. That is the process that's provided in our democracy, not lobbying 9 unelected Supremes. Don't lie to yourself and others that some right is buried in the shadow of a shadow of some other right in the Constitution. The attempt to do this by Roe was the single biggest reason the Court lost it's legitimacy long ago and the Court's nomination process has been so politicized. People realized that the amendment process was for suckers and all they had to was to get 5 people to write their favorite right into the constitution.
