I don't know the age distribution at your company and their educational background, but a lot of people under 50 have been using such systems at least all of their adult life (esp. if they work in tech). Around 1995, internet started to become mainstream. And long before that, people were using BBS. Smartphone are newer though but I don't think they brought much to the equation. If anything, people became less tech-savvy after the emergence of smartphones.
