Ask HN: What is the first digit of your base TC?

- PopAlongKid 4y agoWhen someone asks about the first digit of numbers in a set, it leads me to think of Benford's law.[0] If the question is indeed about a monetary value, I wonder if the specific currency used makes a difference (not, I'm guessing). - Bostonian 4y agoI think you want people to disclose their total compensation to the first significant figure, for example 6x10^4 or 6x10^5. Just giving the first digit 6 would be ambiguous.
