I loved this when I visited Norway, even made a video of me using it for posterity! I don't know what the right terminology is but I always prefer the unsliced imperfect loaves rather than the perfect rectangular presliced ones. Those machines were great as it meant I didn't have to slice them every morning and it did a better job.
