- tyingq 4y agoNot sure why it's sending you a 301 redirect, but you could add -L to follow it: curl -L -I https://web3usecase.com https://web3usecase.com It's just sending a 404 meaning "Use Case Not Found" for "web 3".

- Liron 4y agoWhat’s revolutionary about this brilliant piece of Web2 technology is that now you don’t need a human anymore to manually check if Web3 has any use cases. All you need is an HTTP client that reads status codes.
- Lerc 4y agoThis just feels like bullying. I'm not a fan of web3. I'm generally skeptical of most tech fads. There have been plenty of them over the years. If I don't like the new thing I don't use it. This has paid dividends when things turn into vapor. It can be annoying when they stay around(xml). What I don't do is aggressively campaign against other people's ideas. Let people try their wacky ideas. Offer constructive criticism.
- threeseed 4y agoThe difference here is that many people involved in Web3 are scammers. And they are specifically targeting people who are financially unsophisticated. For example, Logan Paul when he promotes NFT projects to his young audience which he knows full well are rug pulls and will result in them losing their money.
- ibotty 4y agoThe difference is that it kills the environment by using massive amounts of electricity. That criticism is fundamental: There is no viable "web3" offering not doing that.
- marsouin 4y agoYou are actually wrong. Proof of stake blockchains consume much less. For instance on Tezos, transactions create less CO2 than sending an email (without an attachment). The environmental impact of email is colossal, let's criticize that for a minute ;)
- rvz 4y agoYou do realise what you have just said was complete nonsense? So Algorand, Flow, Solana, Stellar, XRPL and Tezos are all killing the environment and using massive amounts of electricity? Once again, fallen into the same absolutist trap like all the other 'angry' critics who will eventually realise that they are wasting their time trying to stop all of it.
