My own personal Mondegreen was 'Modern English' -- 'I Melt with You', which I first heard on AM radio.
The Lyric I 'heard' was "I'll stop the world and {meld} with you" and not "I'll stop the world and {melt} with you"
In my mind, I heard 'Meld' as in;
To mix together so that the components are indistinguishable.
Syn: blend, mix, conflate, commingle, immix, fuse, coalesce, combine, merge.
