The business model seems to go something like this:
- Sell broken garbage at lower than average prices.
- Deflect a lot of complaints just by outsourcing support to an overworked call center with language barriers and constant redirects.
- If someone suffers through that long enough, offer a replacement.
- Drag feet shipping out the replacement, and send a different model of broken garbage.
- Play real dumb when they try to return the replacement. That doesn't match the model you purchased/that doesn't match the original delivery date/we've already sent a replacement.
- Stall indefinitely.
- Bank on anyone buying a Dell being too poor to afford to take them to court over not honoring their warranty.
