- michaericalribo 4y agoFor those interested in a more detailed history of the roguelike genre, I can’t recommend enough David Craddock’s book Dungeon Hacks: How NetHack, Angband, and Other Roguelikes Changed the Course of Video Games. It’s a really neat delve into the dungeons of procedurally generated adventures, and led to me getting hooked on Brogue [1] [1] https://github.com/tmewett/BrogueCE/ https://github.com/tmewett/BrogueCE/

- ArtWomb 4y agoCongrats to Paula Antonelli! "Interaction Design" is the new Art. Which I suppose means the Machine is the new Museum / Factory / Kunstverein ;) https://www.moma.org/calendar/exhibitions/5453 https://www.moma.org/calendar/exhibitions/5453
- anthk 4y agoSlash'EM it's fun too, it's basically an improved 3.4.3 fork with new races, classes, weapons, objects, special dungeon levels and so on. Samurai Doppleganger with a Yakuza rank and porting a machine gun? Why not?
