Until the headset problem is overcome then these devices will always be luxury items. A killer app would help too.

- hindsightbias 4y agoThat’s what HN said about the Apple Watch. No killer app there, and even my barrista rocks one. I feel like the last guy clinging to a flip phone.
- sys_64738 4y agoApple Watch is junk but has the killer app.
- bergenty 4y agoWhy is it “junk”? It’s great and I can think of very little that’s wrong with it.
- sys_64738 4y agoBattery life is garbage for a start.
- bergenty 4y agoIt’s because it does so much compared to say a Fitbit. Put it on airplane mode and it’s much, much better.
- sys_64738 4y agoMy FitBit does health stuff to and lasts 1-2w per charge.
- thebruce87m 4y ago1 - 2 weeks would only be convenient if I was going on holiday so as not to take the charger. In normal use 1 - 2 weeks would mean that I’d either get pestered by low battery notifications at the end of the period or forget to charge it semi-regularly. Nightly charging is no hassle, same as my phone.
- sys_64738 4y agoNightly recharging is an epic fail. I use my Fitbit to monitor sleep pattern.
