I think the success of Minecraft proves that the latest engine technology is not critical to the success of a game.
- suivix 15y agoMinecraft allows for fully modifiable 3D environments which no other popular games have. So it is the latest technology, much unlike Doom 3.
- jebblue 15y agoRight I totally agree and it's extremely fun. I guess I was thinking that the speed and graphics aren't as visually snazzy but the fans (like me) don't care about that.
