All I'm seeing in this article are baseless insults because Gnome doesn't work exactly the same way as other desktops the author has been using. Meanwhile I like it, Gnome may not be perfect but to me it's the most polished modern Linux desktop environment. It might not support all kinds of middle mouse button features but works better with other input methods. When Gnome implemented touch gestures to smoothly scroll between virtual desktops, KDE had zero support for touchscreens iirc but supported pointless things like rotating desktop icons. I'm puzzled how someone can get so worked up about a system component which can be switched out in less time than it took to write that rant.
