I would rather see FOSS stagnate than be built up in the wrong direction, accumulating more tech debt that will take decades to unravel.
- addicted 4y agoWell, the authors example of good design on Linux is Unity. One literally could not pick up a better example of something going in the wrong direction that simply accumulates more tech debt.
- ironmagma 4y agoYeah, I’m not necessarily saying anything in particular is better. I just wish OSS creators would be a little more thoughtful with design before building empires on something.
