Gnome works fine for me. I’m glad it was made. I was an i3 user for a long time. When I grew tired of configuring things like wifi, mounting USB drives automatically, and a dozen other little things, Gnome just worked. What I think kind of sucks is this person is just talking shit because an open source project doesn’t do what they want it to do. Author, you are rude.
