To end mass incarceration, focus on crime reduction

- codefreeordie 4y agoThis article proposes making it "safe" to barely punish criminals who are caught by using extreme, invasive tools to ensure that the (minimal) punishment accrues to absolutely every criminal. On the surface, this might seem fine, but the difficulty is that in order to actually catch every criminal, you both need to build an oppressive surveillance state and also invariably need to punish huge numbers of innocent people as well.
- rurban 4y agoWhat a coincidence that they now reversed Roe vs Wade, which will lead to all time high crime rates in the next decade. Which will only increase their modern slave business model, incarceration for profit.
