Hey HN,
In what has become a weird stint of Auth/Login related projects, I've recently launched a big feature for Waaard[0] -- a drop-in login system that you can use for your applications.
Waaard For Login[1] makes it easy to build a login flow for your site that uses Email (magic link), Email + Password, HackerNews (thanks to LoginWithHN[2]) Github, Gitlab, Twitter, Facebook, and lots more providers.
I got the idea after getting some questions from users of Waaard -- I realized I'd built essentially a bad closed-source PassportJS but it was way easier to use (the low friction was previously for sending around documents). How hard could it be to adapt that ease-of-use to other applications to use?
Well many weeks later here we are! Please feel free to give it a try! I know I'll be using it on projects going forward for myself just to avoid dealing with writing yet another login system.
Also in this space, check out Clerk.dev[3]! They're a bigger operation and have a great onboarding process/concept that's way more configurable.
