Phew, maybe there's some thing to this but it'd be a non-trivial chain of interdependencies that's difficult to untangle if it's possible at all.
I'd look at it in a different way:
What are large corporations?
They're organisations that (in almost all cases) have one primary goal: maximizing profits in any legal way.
And that's precisely what they're doing. And of course this means they're not taking less from customers than they can, they're taking everything they can get.
But corporations don't stop at just serving products to people. They also do lobbying to influence politics .. with which goal? Again, to maximize profits.
Who gave corporations this goal? Society. Companies aren't making profits their top priority by their own will. Society and politics decide what kinds of companies they want.
So if society sets "maximize profit" as goal for most of its companies, these companies will fulfill the task also by lobbying for laws that facilitate further maximisation of profits.
